Google Calendar Sync - MS OUTLOOK와 연동된다

개인적으로 구글 캘린더를 자주 사용하는 편입니다. 다른게 아니라, 구글 캘린더는 공짜로 모바일에 메시지를 보내서 알림기능도 제공한다는 점입니다. 비록 온라인으로 사용하면 별 문제 없이 잘 쓰지만, 오프라인으로 된 것이 없어서 언젠가는 outlook처럼 오프라인 버전도 제공해주었으면 좋겠다는 생각이 들었습니다.

오늘 중국에서 전문적으로 구글 뉴스를 전하는 Gseeker에서 본 소식인데, 드뎌 구글이 이런 서비스를 내놓았습니다. 즉 Google Calendar Sync라는 프로그램을 내놓았습니다.

일단 구글의 공식 소개를 보면

Google Calendar Sync: Getting Started

Google Calendar Sync allows you to sync events between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar. You'll be able to determine the direction of information flow, as well as the sync frequency. Staying on top of your Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar events has never been easier!

Keep in mind that it's not possible to sync events on secondary calendars at this time. Google Calendar Sync will only sync events from your primary Google Calendar and your default Microsoft Outlook calendar.

Get started

To begin syncing, follow the steps below:

1. To download Google Calendar Sync, visit http://dl.google.com/googlecalendarsync/GoogleCalendarSync_Installer.exe
2. Once a dialog box appears, click "Save File." The download should open automatically. If it doesn't, manually open the download from your browser's download window.
3. Click "OK" to confirm that you're aware this is an executable file.
4. Read through the Google Calendar Sync Terms of Service, and click "I Agree."
5. Continue to follow through the Installation Options and click "Install" to finish the set-up process.

Once Google Calendar Sync is installed on your computer, the Google Calendar Sync Settings window will appear:

무엇보다도 마이크로소프트의 OUTLOOK와 연동이 된다는것입니다. 즉 만약 구글 캘린더에서 일정을 비공개로 했으면 OUTLOOK에서도 비공개 상태로 된답니다.

기분 좋아서 설치했더니, 반드시 컴퓨터에 OUTLOOK가 깔려있어야 한다나? 헉..저는 회사 컴인지라 회사에서 OUTLOOK대신 다른 메일 프로그램을 써서...사용할 수가 없습니다. 대신 집의 컴에 설치해야겠습니다.
